Aubrey Winn, MD
Dr. Winn is a fellowship-trained board-certified dermatologist specializing in general, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. Her journey into dermatology has been shaped by personal experiences and a genuine passion for helping others. When her father was diagnosed with melanoma and her uncle passed away from metastatic melanoma, she was determined to specialize in dermatology to help those affected by skin cancer to the best of her ability.
Throughout Dr. Winn’s medical training, she has pursued excellence and a well-rounded education. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Davis, where she had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Bristol, England. This experience broadened her perspective and enriched her understanding of different cultures.
Prior to her medical training, she held various teaching and instructing certifications, including yoga, Pilates, cycling, and group fitness. These experiences allowed her to connect with individuals on a personal level and instilled in her the importance of effective communication and patient education.
In 2010, she was commissioned in the US Navy and started medical school at Loma Linda University. Following her internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, she served as a General Medical Officer and Battalion Surgeon with the United States Marine Corps, providing medical care to servicemembers and their families. This experience taught her resilience, adaptability, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.
Dr. Winn completed her dermatology residency at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, in 2020. Subsequently, she served as the full-time dermatologist for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, where she provided care to a large population of service members and their families. In addition, she served as the Department Head for Internal Medicine and multiple medical specialty divisions, demonstrating her leadership skills and ability to manage diverse teams. After completing her military service in 2023, Dr. Winn completed an American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) fellowship with Dr. Cameron Chesnut in Spokane, WA. She now practices medical and procedural dermatology in addition to Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
