Diana Parnell, MD
Diana Parnell, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience and expertise in cosmetic and laser surgery as well as general dermatology. She has been performing facial laser resurfacing and rejuvenation procedures since 1988. Her laser experience also includes removal of vascular lesions, hair removal, removal of seborrheic keratosis, pigmented lesions and tattoos, non-ablative skin tightening, laser treatment of nail fungus; Ultherapy, the only FDA-approved non-surgical procedure that lifts the brow, chin and neck; CoolSculpting, non-surgical, non- invasive fat reduction; EmsculptTM for building muscle and sculpting your body, Exilis UltraTM for skin tightening and EmsellaTM for incontinence.
Dr. Diana Parnell and her husband, Dr. Francis Parnell, an otolaryngologist, co-founded Parnell Pharmaceuticals. Their drive to research and create pharmaceuticals to sustain wellness and improve quality of life has led them to develop several successful products. In 1987, one such effort led to the FDA approval of a medication used to treat psoriasis. It was one of only 22 medications approved in the United States that year. Dr. Parnell earned her medical degree at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She interned, trained, and taught dermatology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School before moving to Marin County.
Dr. Parnell served on the faculty of the University of California San Francisco Medical School for over 30 years, most recently as Assistant Clinical Professor. She has also served on the medical staff at Marin General Hospital and Kentfield Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Parnell is a past member of the National Educational Faculty for Botox, which certified her to train other physicians in the administration of Botox Cosmetic.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the San Francisco Dermatological Society. She has also been a long-time member of the Marin Medical Society, the California Medical Association, the Pacific Dermatologic Association and the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
