Linda Higginbotham, MD
Dr. Linda Higginbotham is a board-certified dermatologist who has been practicing general, medical and surgical dermatology for over 30 years. Dr. Higginbotham completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and performed her dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to become a staff member at Henry Ford Hospital and later went into private practice in the suburban Detroit area.
Dr. Higginbotham’s practice consists of patients of all ages, but she has always had a special interest in Geriatric Dermatology. She has been published in dermatology journals, the New York Times and local newspapers, as well as served on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
In her free time, Dr. Higginbotham enjoys giving back and has volunteered for numerous free skin cancer screenings for the community, done pre-camp physicals for children in urban communities, been involved in Girl Scout activities, accompanied youth groups and has been an adult participant in Space Camp. She has also participated in Breast Cancer Awareness Programs such as “Race for the Cure” and has been involved in many other community service programs.
She has been an active member of The Links, Incorporated for the past 20 years. The Links, Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations, made up of professional women whose primary goal is community service.
Dr. Higginbotham especially loves traveling, reading and pursuing the elusive and challenging game of golf.
She is married with three adult children who have pursued careers as an attorney, an elementary school teacher, and a physician.
Dr. Higginbotham loves what she does and what she has done for so many years. Her hope is to continue to be involved in the practice of medicine for many more years to come.
