Michelle Quinn, MS, NP-C

Michelle Quinn joined California Skin Institute in 2007, with over 14 years experience. She earned a Bachelor of Science at University of San Francisco and received a Master of Science degree from the University of California, San Francisco.

Ms. Quinn is nationally, board certified with the ANCC. She is an active Medical Staff Member at UCSF, continuing to put in clinical hours at UCSF/Mt. Zion Prepare Clinic, a clinic in which she is an original, founding NP. She also is an active preceptor and mentor for UCSF Graduate Students, in the Community Health Systems Department/Adult Nurse Practitioner and Graduate Programs.

During the 3 years prior to joining California Skin Institute, she practiced Dermatology at San Jose Medical Group and was the sole practitioner for the last 10 months prior to leaving to travel internationally. Michelle was one of two NPs to complete the pilot program of an intensive 12 month mentorship and didactic Dermatology training course for NPs and Primary Care Providers at The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG), Santa Therese. Prior to this she was an NP in the Allergy/Immunology Department with TPMG, South San Francisco. She also practiced briefly at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Chelsea Clinic and Ambulatory Clinics, Internal Medicine and Community Health. Prior to specializing in the Dermatology field Michelle worked in Intensive Care, Critical Care, Peri-Operative, and PACU settings at UCSF and various institutions in California and Massachusetts for over 14 years.

In addition to her clinical experience Michelle has been active with community education and international volunteer medical trips, traveling extensively to bring health education, primary care and surgical assistance to underserved international communities.
